South Carolina and gettin' ready!
Well, back from 8 days in the Charleston, South Carolina, area and now I'm ready to get fishing! For anyone
that has never been down in that area, I highly recommend it. There are quite a bit of the tourist attractions,
but we opt for a slower pace on one of the nearby barrier islands. Beach, bikes, food and relaxation!
It sure does the mind good to go someplace where the sun is shining, and the grass is green. No wonder
everyone down there was smiling! I did stop at a vendor in the open air market to get a new cell phone case,
and looking at my old one, the older "sales" man, asked where I got the one I had (which I got right before the
trip), so I replied "Buffalo". Well, at that point I was sporting a tan, so he looked at me and said "what in the
world did you go there for?"
The weather could have been warmer on some days, as the NE winds off the ocean cooled the beaches.
I did get some fishing in with my son in a tidal pool near our house for the small spots and croakers, and
we did take a charter with Capt. John of Affinity Charters one day too with my son, brother in law, and nephew.
The wind was blowing pretty good, which took away the ocean fishing, so we stayed in and worked some
dock areas for redfish, etc. Got quite a few fish, nothing big, but the boys had fun!

Jack with a small redfish! The view from our S.C. back porch!
With the forecast looking good for this weekend, its time to get "Times Two" out of storage and start getting her
ready to fish! Hopefully will be hitting Wilson in early May!
