Wilson - May 2, 2009

Got the chance to do a little Lake Ontario Counties Derby (LOC) fishing today with my friends Paul and
Capt. Greg (Gill's Gone Wild Charters) out of Wilson NY.   What a great day to be on Lake Ontario!  It
was only 38 degrees when we left the dock, but it warmed up nice, and the lake was flat!   Now if we
could have just done something about those little black flies!

Anyway, we had a pretty solid morning before things slowed down, getting a mixed bag of coho, steelhead
and kings.  Four of the kings were in the 15-18lb range, and lost another dandy!   Riggers were pretty hot,
30-40-55 feet down, running a Dreamweaver 42 second spoon and a DW orange crush (regular size), and
a wonderbread spoon on the center rigger.    Divers at 150, 2 set.  and  5 color off inline boards with the coho
killer flasher/fly combo.

Capt John (L) and Paul (R) with some dandy kings!                              This one put up a great fight!
