Brief Dunkirk Report

I've had a number of email's recently inquiring about the walleye bite on Lake Erie.  To be honest, it
is just a tad early yet.   Most reports that I have gotten have only 1 or 2 fish being taken...on a good day.

I've got "Times Two" in the slip, and we did a shakedown yesterday (6/7/09).  Trolled for about an hour
in 55-60 fow directly out of the harbor.  60 degrees on the surface, 53 degrees 30 foot down.  Marked
a few fish moving around here and there, but not even many of those.  What we really could use is some
heat from Mother Nature!

On the flip side, from what I'm told the perch fishing at the Dunkirk "bouy" has been very good of late...
live minnows A#1 bait on those, and also they got good numbers today right off the City Pier!

Hang on gang...another week to 10 days and she'll start popping!
