Revised with pics....
Con Club Tournament Weekend!
FRIDAY-Day 1
Had a double boat charter in the morning, and planned to tournament fish the pm. Morning
was pretty rough to start...picked away at the walleye. Of course, we take 1 pushing 10lbs
and another pushing 8lbs. Figure our best 3 would have been low 20lbs. Finish out the
charter, and get the team to head back out and we only do 3 small fish.....for a meager 9lbs.
Well, that plan sure backfired
! So we're sitting in 92nd spot out of 103 boats after day one.
Yikes!
Best today was again the Mojo DW spoon off the deep riggers, and a blue/silver hatchet blade
harness off the big slides at 165. Fished 80-90 fow off Van Buren Point.
Couple of pics from the morning.....

Saturday-Day 2
Beautiful lake today...could run a full spread. Based on reports we got, bigger fish seemed to
be out deeper...and we needed help....so we pretty much fish 100-115 fow today. Boxed 8; best
3 were just over 20lbs. Better, but not enough. Move up to 83rd.
Best today was the small slide, 220 back off the boards with a harness. 10 color was dead.
Great screens all day.
Sunday-Day 3
Forecast last night had chance of t-storms, so we decided to try right out in front. Hit 85 foot
and started fishing (even though it turned out to be beautiful). Had 3 fish on before we got
all the rods in. Boxed 3 man limit in just under 4 hrs. Got just over 18lbs, but again not
the big guys we needed. Moved up to 65th.
Board lines took 5 fish today, running a chicken wing hatchet blade. Also the 165 slide with
a ring was good with the blue harness; and we took a few fish on a blue Zman chatterstick
on the 165 slide with no ring. Every rod took at least 1 fish.
Overall...had a blast...just never found the big guys we needed. We still average over 5lbs
for our 9 fish. Winning team was over a 7lb average!!

Capt. Gary shows off one of our larger fish from Day 3.
