August 15/16....Mother Nature again!

Mother Nature just won't cooperate!

Had a 5 person charter set to go for Sunday (2 adults/3 kids) and I was already
a bit nervous because the forecast was calling for 70% chance of rain; and
the fishing has been tough this week.  So I'm thinking what am I going to do
if its so/so in the morning?

Well, as it turns out, I'm sitting on the "Alibi" saturday night with Capt. Bud, Gramps
and his friend Tracy, and Capt. Gary, and the winds are getting stronger and
stronger.   SO, after much consideration, I call the people up and we agree to
move the trip.  Good move as it was still rocking Sunday morning.  Jack was
happy as we took the little boat over to Cassadaga Lake again....but a sunfish
just isn't the same as a walleye!

So, Sunday night, I'm looking at the lake thinking that it's laying down, despite
the forecast for today, and that maybe, just maybe we'll get to roll on Monday.
Well, about 3 am when the t'storms rolled through that plan came to a screeching
halt!   At 5:45 a.m., I pull out of the drive, head towards the lake, and even though
its barely light, it took about 10 secs to know we were going NOWHERE again!
Just Great!

Thanks VERY MUCH for the Erie reports John and keep em coming. We are thinking about a trip to Dunkirk or Barcelona if things pick back up. I will be watching here to find out.
