Sept 6

Another long weekend, and another day that it's just too rough to fish.
And we all thought last summer was windy.......

So, our friend Capt. Bud (Alibi Charters) and his grandson Connor invited
my son and I to join them today doing a little pond fishing up in the hills.
Cool morning to start, plus the added enjoyment of about 10 minutes
of rain before it finally got a bit sunnier and warmer!

Fishing was a bit on the slow side, but the kids had fun, and Bud
and I got to fish, so all was good!   Ended up with a dozen really nice
crappie in the 11" range, which were great panfried tonight!

Looking ahead....we've still got a couple more trips to get in, but
look at this week's marine forecast....

TONIGHT...SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. WAVES 2 TO 4 FEET BUILDING
TO 3 TO 5 FEET.

TUESDAY...SOUTH WINDS 15 TO 25 KNOTS BECOMING SOUTHWEST. A
CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.
WAVES 3 TO 5 FEET BUILDING TO 4 TO 6 FEET.

.TUESDAY NIGHT...SOUTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS BECOMING WEST TO
30 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN THE EVENING. A CHANCE OF
SHOWERS. WAVES 4 TO 6 FEET BUILDING TO 7 TO 10 FEET.

.WEDNESDAY...WEST WINDS TO 30 KNOTS BECOMING NORTHWEST 20 TO
25 KNOTS. A CHANCE OF SHOWERS. WAVES 7 TO 10 FEET SUBSIDING TO
5 TO 8 FEET.

That will end up being almost a full week of really hard winds, and I'm guessing
it will take AT LEAST several days to settle out.....

Wow!
