September 11 and 12

September 11

Thank you to all of the service workers (fire, police, ems, etc) that risk their lives
everyday for all of us.

Fishing....
Postponed today's trip....group was coming a long way, and the fishing hasn't
been on fire and the forecast looked suspect.....  so of course the lake was
calmer than it has been in a week.   All reports said the bite remains tough.
I can't believe the fish have moved already.

Ended up shooting out for a couple of hours by myself mid afternoon...boated 1 5lber,
but did find a pretty good screen where I got the fish right before I had to head in.

September 12
Rolling again this morning...there's a switch....no one went today.

SO, got our pal Doug and my son, and off we went to Chautauqua Lake to try
for some perch.   Probably caught 120 fish between the 3 of us....and probably
100 of those were SMALL.   Great for Jack, though....lots of action.   Did bring
home a dozen or so perch for dinner.

Last couple charters coming up if the weather permits at week's end...but
we're hoping to keep the boat in for a few more weeks......
