September 18

For one of the few days since September 1, we actually had pretty
decent lake conditions to start this morning...but it sure was chilly
until the sun came up!

Headed out to look at 60, then 65, then 70 fow, just west of the harbor.
A whole lot of nothing there.   So we decided to get some rods in and
move out, getting out as far as 90 fow.   Ended up with 1 'eye off our
favorite green Zman chatterstick on the 10 color, and a couple of
pretty big sheepshead.

Decided to make a major move to find something, anything, so
we ran 7 miles west a re-set the lines.   Took another big sheep
right off the bat, and that was it.   Very scattered marks on the graph.
THEN, it got rough, which made for a very interesting ride in.

I hate to say it, but it seems that the winds of September, and the
now much cooler lake have pushed the walleye; and I think we've
come to the end for this year.

Tomorrow's group opted to move to next season (thanks for the
understanding, Matt) ....its been that slow.....so we are officially done
with the charters for this year.   We're still going to keep the boat in
for another week or so for fun, but it certainly has been a very tough
bite the last month (when we could get out).

At least Audrey was smiling!
