July 31
Well, after three days of trying, we finally made it out today. Decided to head
up west of the harbor a few miles, and check out 65-70 fow. Didn't look to
promising, but it did look like it was going to roll again, so we head farther
west so al least we'd have following seas to fish back with.
Ended up putting 5 walleye and a nice smallmouth in the box, but by 10:30
or so the winds and waves got to the point that it was time to get off the lake.
Big slides with a ring at 140 took a couple (perch chatters) as did the 10 color
with the green chatter; and we also had one go on the 55 rigger on a WD
green melon.
