July 16 and 17

(REVISED POST TO INCLUDE PICTURES FROM JULY 16)

July 16
Another beautiful day, and another calm day on the lake.   Unfortunately, the cold water
that came in yesterday remained and the fish remained scattered.    Our guys from WVa
really hung in there as we moved from inside to outside waters, and nearly ended up
all the way to Barcelona.    As it was, we were still over 10 miles from port when we
quit.     We did get a few nice walleye, and a laker and our share of sheepshead, silver
bass and perch.

We had some hits on our 20 jets, as the fish remained high to stay in temp; and towards
the end of the trip, took a couple of shots on our slide divers at 105 and 110 out.
A really mix of lures today.

July 17
Finally had a bit of a SW breeze going, which seemed to have slightly helped with
the water temps.   A couple more days should settle it out.

Took us a long time to get the first one in today (after hooking sheepshead, silver
bass, smallmouth and a laker), but we finally doubled up which was good for the
morale of the crew, and even better for the morale of the captain.

60 fow seemed to be the best, and most of our bites came on harnesses off 30 jets
set at 125.   We did have a couple of hits too on the slides at 85 feet on perch
chattersticks.
