August 2
Today's group was the "winner" of a charter we had donated to the Brooks Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary Ball held in June. We are pleased to continue to support this
event; and really appreciate the support of the Dziduch family as the winning bidder!!
Lake was still a bit shook up from the winds of yesterday, and I thought it was
going to kick again, but fortunately it didn't. We managed to put 10 walleye in
the box, and also had a small brown trout, a couple of smallmouth and of
course, a couple of sheepshead.
We fished west of the towers, in 55-65 fow. Our best rigs were the 10 color
down the chute with the green 5" chatterstick; and a WD green melon off the
55 rigger. We also took a couple of the 135 big slide with a perch chatter, and
off the 140 slide on a 4" Root beer chatter (thanks for the heads up, Chris!).

Kind of interesting today when cleaning the fish..... One had a very
large, and fairly fresh Goby in its stomach, and another had 6 or 7
zebra mussels!! I've seen those in perch, but never a walleye.....
Off for a couple of days now, then we do the Con Club Tournament this
weekend......
