Finale at Wilson….

Finished up with our spring charters with Captain Gary (Kongo) out of Wilson with one good day, and one tough day.   Amazing what a bit of northeast wind did overnight to the bite!

Overall, we had a great time again this year, and appreciate all of you coming with us!   We plan on being back next May, and maybe it will be on the new “Times Two”.  We shall see….

Had our friend Corey and his crew back again and we nailed it!  Great first 30 minutes or so which would have been better had we landed a few more, than a steady pick after that!

Even got that laker for Corey…..

Next day had a real tough go with one of our great groups from Lake Erie, so now the pressure is on when they come back in July……

French River 2015!

Jack and I headed north for the annual May fishing trip.   Amazing how it was evolved over the years.  But I still love to go, and Jack is eager too, so off we went.

Beautiful first two days, POURED all day long the last, but we got in to the northern pike!   Still, we landed 106 pike in 2.5 days of fishing, 11 of which were between 22 and 27 inches!

The only mistake I made was pointing out to Jack the first day that I thought a Mepps spinner might be a good choice!

Stayed again with our friends at French River Lodge.  Always glad to be back up there!
